This wonderful engraving is from the collection held by Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. (A copy is also held by the McLean Museum and Art Gallery in Greenock.)
It shows a younger James Watt.
It was produced by John Le Conte (1816-1887), inspired by a painting by John Blake MacDonald (held by the Hunterian Art Gallery at the University of Glasgow).
