James Watt’s former cottage workshop at Kinneil Estate, Bo’ness, was on TV today.

The roofless building and its story were featured on BBC’s “Antiques Road Trip”.

Presenter Anita Manning was shown discussing Watt with historian Geoff Bailey from Falkirk Community Trust. The programme also featured other local engineering marvels, the Kelpies structures at Grangemouth and the Bo’ness and Kinneil steam railway.

You can watch the programme again on BBC iPlayer until mid-February, 2019.

You can also visit the Watt Cottage for yourself.  It’s located just to the rear of Kinneil House, in a public park – Kinneil Estate – that’s open all year. See the Kinneil website for more information.
