What would steam pioneer James Watt make of this? US Scientists have reportedly created and tested a “steam-powered spacecraft”.
The website Interesting Engineering says the NASA-backed project involves a small vehicle designed “to extract water from asteroids or other space rocks”. Apparently, it uses this water to generate steam to propel the craft to its next destination.
The website says such a vehicle could hop through the universe and “theoretically travel forever” as it wouldn’t need to return to earth for a refuel. Read the full article here.
