The Riverside Museum in Glasgow will feature James Watt in a new exhibition, due to launch in November 2019.

Full details will be unveiled nearer the time. However, Neil Johnson-Symington, Curator of Transport & Technology at Glasgow Life, has given us some details.

He said: “We’re developing a display for the Riverside Museum which celebrates the Watt Bicentennial by exploring Scotland’s Drive for Energy Efficiency. The display will feature objects related to fuel efficiency, renewable energy and environmental monitoring and present one of our marble statues of Watt and a recently donated Tesla electric car. We plan to launch in November.”

Neil says: “Watt demonstrated that you didn’t need to invent something new to change the world – adaptations of existing technology which brought about radical improvement could set everything in motion.”
